This week we are proud to host the technical stopover of the semi-submersible crane vessel DSV BALDER, one of the largest offshore engineering platforms in the world, operated by Heerema Marine Contractors.

With 154 meters in length, 100 meters in beam, and lifting capacity of up to 6,300 tonnes, BALDER has played a key role in major offshore construction projects since its launch in Japan in 1978.

The stopover includes:

 Refueling of 2,000 tonnes of fuel
 Crew change (200 personnel)
 Provisioning and spare parts supply

As local agents, At Canarship we have coordinated a special support operation to ensure a safe and efficient port call, including the use of an auxiliary vessel to assist the pilot boarding.
