25 years later, we keep looking out to sea with the same determination as on day one.

25 years later, we keep looking out to sea with the same determination as on day one.

On 30 October, we celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Muelle Deportivo de Las Palmas, joined by more than 120 people from our team, clients, authorities and partners from the maritime and port sector.

An evening that brought together those who have been part of our journey and marked a new starting point to keep growing. The anniversary was also a moment to hear from those who have guided our course.

José Romeu, CEO of Romeu Shipping, and Javier Delgado Sauermann, CEO of Canarship, shared their vision of what reaching this point means and where we want to go next.

In his speech, José Romeu highlighted: “Over these 25 years, Canarship has been able to adapt, anticipate and grow in a changing environment. That ability to constantly reinvent itself is what has allowed us to remain strong, with our eyes on the future.”

He added: “Canarship is an example within Romeu of how commitment, talent and closeness to the client can become a formula for sustainable growth. Its track record reflects a corporate culture that knows how to turn challenges into opportunities.”

For his part, Javier Delgado Sauermann recalled the essential role of people at every stage of this story:

“Canarship cannot be understood without the people who make it up. Our real strength lies in those who make it possible for us to keep moving forward every day, in the trust we have built with our clients and in the passion that drives us from the Canary Islands to the world.”

And he concluded looking to the future: “Turning 25 is not only about celebrating what we have achieved, it is also about renewing our commitment to excellence and innovation. We have the team, the experience and the determination to keep driving the Canary Islands forward as an international logistics hub of reference.”

Their words reflected the spirit with which we continue to look ahead: commitment, innovation and a clear vision of the future we want to keep building.

The evening was attended by Beatriz Calzada, President of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, and Francisco Javier Trujillo Ramírez, Director of the Port Authority of Las Palmas.

We were also joined by Gema Argente Frías, COO and CFO of Romeu Shipping; Fran Naranjo, Director of Gesport Atlantic; Carmen Moreno, President of Asocelpa and Director of MSC; Elena Vicente Stone, Secretary General of Asocelpa; Juan Carlos Nuñez Cuyas, Managing Director of Ocean Ports & Shipping; and Betsabé Morales Perdomo, Manager of the Fundación Puertos de Las Palmas.

Thank you to everyone who was part of this celebration and of these 25 years of history.

We keep moving forward with the same energy we started with.
